Admin/Biographical History This agenda was given to Velvet Rope Tour participant Delta Flight Attendant Lisa Flaherty in 2006. The Velvet Rope Tour, was a series of 2-day sessions with 400 employees at a time, initially for Delta's flight attendants, beginning on February 13, 2006. Velvet Rope Tour was a part of Delta's bankruptcy emergence strategy. The purpose of these meetings was to ensure Delta's customer service team members were aware of the transformation plan and remained positive and engaged.

On VRT's first day, employees attended a session on merging the culture of Song Airlines with the best aspects of the service heritage of Delta to create a new Delta experience with a strong emphasis on customer service. That night, employees attended a party where they had a chance to mingle with senior executives. The next half day included tactical training sessions.

Agenda included presentations and question-and-answer panel sessions with Delta leaders: Senior Vice President - Customer Service Paulette Corbin, COO Jim Whitehurst, Vice President - Marketing Joanne Smith, Managing Director - Marketing and Cultural Transformation Tim Mapes, and Managing Director - In-Flight Service Sandy Gordon.
