|Description||Delta Brake-to-Wheel Alignment Tool for Douglas DC-6 aircraft. Tool consists of a light yellow-painted metal piece attached to a red nylon ribbon. Used to hold a loose rotating brake disc plate in perfect alignment for wheel cleat engagement while resting on the axle, allowing one mechanic to install the wheel assembly.|

|Provenance||Delta mechanics used this type of tool for Douglas DC-6 aircraft in the Delta fleet. This tool was used by James L. Tyson, who donated it in 1993, when he was a retiree from Dept. 371 Hydraulic Maintenance Overhaul at Delta's Technical Operations Center in Atlanta.|
