|Collection||Aircraft Parts & Furnishings Collection|
|Object Name||Component, Aircraft|
|Description||This is a Douglas DC-3 unpolished aluminum metal cabin door with five stairs on the door's interior side.|
Airstairs was restored by Delta Flight Museum's Aircraft & Facility Manager Art Arace in 2016. Art also created a black metal frame for supporting the Airstairs during display and storage.
In 1950, Delta modified its Douglas DC-3s to hold 28, instead of 21, passengers. Boarding stairs were incorporated into aircraft doors. Exteriors shone with bright new updated "white top" paint job.
