Large metal (?) cut-away model airplane of Western Airlines Lockheed L-188A Electra, N7135C. 1:20 scale.
Exterior is painted white with red Indian Head livery and silver belly. Painted on tail in red: N7135C. Inside the cutway are plastic (?) figures of pilots in the cockpit, passengers seated in cabin and in the rear lounge and "stewardesses" preparing meal trays in the galley. An external electric motor can be connected to power model's interior lights and rotating propellers.
|Provenance||Western Airlines flew the Lockheed L-188A Electra prop jet from 1959-1974. Ship 135 (N7135C, MSN 1046) was the first one delivered to Western on May 20, 1959. Western sold the aircraft in November 1970.|
