Description Stanley Super Vac Thermos B6. Stainless steel engraved on one side with 1934-1945 Northwest Airlines Inc. logo and a wooden spout handle. "NWA No. 1" is hand etched around thermos body rim and a plaque welded to the thermos reads "167 PS NWA." The manufacturer's stamp is on the bottom with instructions for use and cleaning.

Provenance Thermos was filled with hot beverages, such as coffee and hot water for tea or boullion, inserted into a wall-mounted bracket in the galley of a Northwest Airlines 21-passenger Douglas DC-3, where a flight attendant, called "stewardess" at the time, dispensed beverages into cups for passengers.
