Description Stanley Insulating Vac stainless steel, cylindrical container. Push-botton black plastic spout at one end. Spout attachment is removable. One side of container is engraved with Delta "Flying D" logo. Made by Landers, Frary & Clark (Stanley Insulating Division).

Provenance This thermos was used to store and transport hot and cold liquids (for airlines, usually coffee, hot water for tea and beef boullion, and cold water). It fit into a bracket on the wall of the galley in a Delta Douglas DC-3, and maybe DC-4, from approximately 1945 (based on first use of the Flying D logo until ca. 1960.
