Printed on one side with blue Convair 880 logo and red/blue text: "SAN FRANCISCO - DIXIE / DELTA / AIR LINES" The other side of the bag is printed with blue Convair 880 logo and blue/red Delta Royal Jet Service logo.

Provenance This promotional flight bag was presented to passengers on Delta's inaugural San Francisco-Atlanta flight. Delta's Atlanta to San Francisco flight was on October 13, 1961; the first eastbound ATL-SFO flight was on October 15, 1961, both with Convair 880 jet service.

Delta was the first airline to offer nonstop service between the Southeast and the West Coast (Atlanta and California) in 1961.
