Delta began serving Cola-Cola in 1940, with the introduction of 14-passenger Douglas DC-2 and 21-passenger DC-3 aircraft with the airline's first flight attendants, called "stewardesses" at the time. In 1996, Delta was the first airline to sign a contract to board Coca-Cola soft drinks products exclusively.
