Description Swiss-made wristwatch with copper-colored (gold-plated?) round metal case and brown calfskin leather straps. Watch face is copper-colored with white numbers and manufacturer information: "DOXA / Shock-Resistant / Antimagnetic." Plastic cover for watch face is yellowed and has detached from the watch. On back is engraved: "Fred W. Kelly from Pilots of Western Air Lines / 10-4-'46 / 804716"

Provenance Gift to Fred Kelly by the pilots of Western Airlines to commemorate Western's 20th anniversary year. Fred Kelly was one of Western's four original pilots, called the "Four Horsemen," hired by Western Air Express in 1926.
