Description Pinback metal goldtone wings with a large Delta widget logo and DELTA in elongated lettering on a black foil decal. Attached to paper card printed with blue text: "Here are your DELTA Junior STEWARDESS Wings / Every Delta Stewardess wears her Golden Wings . . . and as a 'Future Stewardess' you should wear your wings too. Please accept these wings with our compliments. / DELTA AIR LINES"
Provenance Delta's first Jet Age kiddie wings, first issued in about 1959. Kiddie wings were handed out to all children on Delta's new Royal Jet Service flights, as well as Delta's DC-7 Royal Service propeller plane flights. Paper certificates continued to be available for children on all other flights.
