Provenance Model of a Douglas DC-6B, a variant of the DC-6, a piston-powered airliner and transport aircraft built by the Douglas Aircraft Company from 1946 to 1958. The DC-6B had passenger doors only and a lighter floor than earlier versions of the aircraft. Western Airlines flew the DC-6B from 1952-1969, which was painted in this color scheme from 1957-1959.
